Janis Thornton is a golf fitness specialist helping golfers train smarter so they can play longer. As a single-digit handicap golfer herself, she LOVES golf and helping others succeed.
With a background as an exercise physiologist and years of experience working with golfers, Janis combines movement science, golf-specific training, and practical coaching to help players build bodies that support their swing - not fight it.
Her mission is simple:

My core feels stronger and my swing seems smoother. Not as rushed or jittery because I have more strength. I never missed a fairway yesterday and have used shorter clubs on my approach shots. I am sure with continued use I can improve my distance even more. (Now if it could fix my putting)!
I'm gaining distance with my driver and have better control over my swing. My lower body is definitely stronger and I'm able to get a better swing pattern. I'm also gaining more mobility (which I need) and have better separation of my upper body and lower body (ie...increased distance). Love these workouts!
Janis's online personal training program works great for me and I have been with her for over 3 years. I cannot work out at the same time or location every day because of work and travel commitments. Having my workouts on my phone I can work out anywhere and the video examples are great for showing proper form and number of reps and sets. She just makes it easy to follow and to stay on point. Janis has been my trainer for almost a year, and what a transformative year it has been! However, a foot injury in December set me back, confining me to a wheelchair and causing muscle loss. Janis promptly provided me with four wheelchair exercises. When I returned to golfing two months later, Janis designed exercises to help me regain strength. Her constant motivation kept me going when I felt down about my limitations.
